Each is constructed of 24-gauge steel that is electrically welded together to provide ultimate durability. Additionally, 5-inch center points, rather than the industry standard of 4-inch, plus welded, double-steel stiffeners are used on each shelf to allow for up to 200 pounds of evenly distributed weight. This unique and sturdy construction makes it an ideal choice for a multitude of applications. Shelves adjust in 2-inch increments. Available in several color options ranging from neutrals like “tropical sand” and white to more vibrant choices like “signal blue” and “pastel green.” Each Norwood Heavy-Duty Mobile Bookcase arrives assembled with only the shelves needing to be inserted at the preferred height. Easily lock the mobile bookcase in place with die-cast locking handles, a more secure locking mechanism compared to the traditional 3-point system. There are also four 3-inch caster wheels, two of which that lock, that are drilled directly into the bottom of the base. This special design ensures a more stable construction compared to a traditional stationary cabinet fastened to a caster base.
