Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not great for Elementary age students I just moved into a new classroom and these desks were purchased to help for a collaborative environment. I teach third grade and my students and I are beyond frustrated with this desks! Besides the desks not being stable and name tags are impossible also due to the desks' glossy top and shape, my MAJOR issue is with the basket. The basket allows EVERY supply to fall out on the floor. Additionally, the basket can barely fit a small pencil box and 2 workbooks. Since the students' supplies are all over the place, students have been trying to place their pencils in the grooves on top of the desk, but due to the slant of the desk, they roll off easily. I have even tried taping Boba straws down, so the pencils can slip through. Problem is, just like the name tags, itching sticks to the finish on the top. I absolutely HATE to complain but I am at a loss for how to solve these problems. I am searching for something to place in the bottom of the basket in hopes less falls on the floor becoming a major fall hazard. I am also seeking out solutions for a place to put all of their other books and binders. I am confident this desk has some wonderful purposes, but if you are looking to place them in an elementary setting, please reconsider. My students hate them and are growing more and more frustrated while I seem to be willing to spend an arm and a leg of my own money to find ways to solve this serious issues. Anyone else having my same problems have any solutions?
