Curious as to the profile of the 1" map rail. I desire to remove the cork and insert a t nut for hanging large banners. Could you send me an end view picture of the rail, and also tell me if the cork easily slides out the end. Other recommendation?

what is the width of the cork is 1/4 inch or a 1/2 inch thick?
As you look at the cork strip on the wall, the tackable surface area is 1/2” H and 1/4” thick.

No Installation Hardware included
The rail itself is fine, but there is no installation hardware included, nor does this website offer it to you as an additional purchase. I installed it on a wooden frame for the chalkboard, but since this product has no actual pre-drilled holes for installing, I had to drill the holes into it myself. What is the use of selling a product and not also suggesting the proper hardware to install it? If School Outfitters would simply have the proper instructions and tools for installing as options, then I would have given it 5 stars.

Not Thick Enough
The cork board for this map rail is not thick enough. The pins are not able to push all the way in for a strong hold and seem to fall out if hanging anything to heavy:(

Product arrived timely and in good shape
The 1" map rails work well for displaying student's work. Install was fairly easy, though the screws they sent were really too short. Also, I had to create my own installation plan as there were no guidelines for how to install.

solves the problem
We love hanging kids artwork, and map rails allow us to do so without purchasing or install of huge bulletin boards. I just wish the cork were a bit thicker, but we can staple or tape pictures along the hall walls easily.

Great product
This is a great product and looks great on the wall. When mounting and reinstalling cork, there isn't much clearance for the screw heads. You definitely have to countersink a bit and/or use a screw with a very flat head.
