Do the slots stay in place or do they tend to slide out?

They are designed to stay in place once the literature organizer is assembled. However, the slots are adjustable should you need to create larger storage space.

The compartments measure 9" W x 11 3/4" D x 2 1/4" H and are adjustable in 2 1/2" increments.
