What colors does this come in?

What is the height from the desktop surface to the shelf. Can we fit a 17" height monitor?

That shelf is approximately 15.4” above the work surface. It is also only 7-1/2 inches deep leaving a work surface of about 16-inches deep for the monitor and keyboard.
