Banquet Tables Buying Guide

Lots of styles, sizes and tabletop types can make choosing the right banquet table for your space overwhelming. Here are some things to think about that'll help you find the ideal table for your situation:

Banquet tables come in three main types: mobile, display and stationary. Your choice should depend on the size and shape of your banquet hall or meeting room. Mobile tables give you greater options for creating custom serving arrangements, while stationary tables offer a more permanent solution. Display tables make attractive arrangements simple.

A wide range of shapes give you plenty of options when deciding on a length or diameter for your cafeteria, banquet hall or meeting room. Keep in mind the space you'll need for chairs and distance between multiple tables. Round tables allow your guests to move around with ease, while rectangular tables create convenient aisles and more efficient seating space.

Top Style
Laminate - Laminate tops are usually 1 1/4-inch or 1 1/8-inch thick and extremely durable. They resist stains, scratches and last for years under heavy use. Larger laminate tables typically have a stability bar underneath that provides extra support. T-molding vinyl edges most often protect the table sides from damage; the strip is glued or fastened securely into a groove to protect the edges from moisture and idle picking.

Plastic - Plastic tops are generally lightweight, a cinch to clean and more affordable than aluminum or laminate tops. Many of our plastic tabletops are weather proof and perfect for indoor or outdoor use.

Stained - Stained tops give the table a unique wood-grain style and protect the plywood core from moisture damage.

Plywood - Tables with durable plywood tops endure years of wear and tear. Usually 3/4-inch thick, the plywood resists cracking, splintering and warping.

Aluminum - Lightweight aluminum tops won't crack or split apart, giving you years of durability. The durable, recyclable surface resists scratches, stains and moisture damage. Aluminum tabletops also have a higher weight capacity than most wood or particleboard tops, allowing you to get more use from a single table.
