Every school takes great pride in the many accolades and awards earned over the years. Free-standing floor display cases range in width and height, plus can be designed as corner display cases. Others are sized as counter display cases for easy viewing from above – these are popular choices in retail outlets. Wall-mounted display cases serve to elevate memorabilia and either free up floor space or capitalize on available wall space. This style can be completely recessed into a wall or come equipped with an illuminated header to highlight a school's name.

All styles of trophy and display cases have glass shelving. These can be staggered or extend the width of the case. Because trophies and other awards vary in size, all cases have adjustable shelving for a customized fit. There is also the option to select from various styles of backings inside the case. These usually range from mirrors, colored fabric, white melamine or wood laminate. Another common feature is a locking mechanism.
