The novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, has brought social distancing measures to the forefront of today's society. While not a new concept, social distancing is a set of actions designed to prevent the spread of disease. Just as the name implies, individuals keep a certain distance between themselves and another when out socially. The distance most health professionals agree upon today is six feet. This distance reduces the likelihood that germs from a sneeze, cough or simply speaking can travel through the air and reach another person who is in close proximity. To help schools, businesses and other organizations achieve this desired social distance dividers and other crowd control stanchions are used. Using these safety barriers takes the guesswork out of acceptable distances and gives everyone greater peace of mind.
