Lighting the way to easy health and safety practices
Ultraviolet light has long been an effective sanitizing method in hospitals. Today, that same technology can be used any place that infection control measures are in place. A common area where touch contamination happens are hallways in schools, businesses and other public buildings. Hallways can have railings, lockers, tables and chairs, plus door handles and light switches. UV disinfection lights are available in a portable option so effective sanitizing can be accomplished throughout the day. Bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms are rendered harmless from UV light. The UVC rays effectively dismantle their DNAs making them unable to proliferate. Hand-held UV devices can be carried throughout hallways to sanitize high touch surfaces.
